Privacy notice

What personal data this site collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it, under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

Who we are

webhostingsingapore.com is operated by WebHosting Singapore. For questions about your personal data, including access and correction requests, contact our Data Protection Officer through our contact form. Choose “Personal data request” and we’ll reply by email.

What we collect

  • Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and the page you signed up on. We use it only to send the monthly email.
  • Contact, listing and correction forms: what you type into the form, which may include your name, work email and company. We use it to check and publish the change you asked for, and to reply to you.
  • Tools: the domain name you enter in “Is my website hosted in Singapore?”. Results are cached for an hour so repeat lookups are fast.
  • Server logs and abuse protection: like every website, our server records IP addresses and requests. We use a one-way hash of your IP address to limit how often a form or tool can be used.

Cookies and analytics

This site doesn’t set cookies and doesn’t use advertising trackers. If we add analytics later, we’ll update this notice first.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent personal data. Our web host stores the site and its data on servers in Singapore. When you use the hosting lookup tool, the IP address of the website you look up, not yours, is sent to a third-party IP-information service to find which network and country it belongs to.

How long we keep it

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Form submissions are kept for up to two years so we can show where a listing change came from. Server logs are kept for no more than 90 days.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent (for example, unsubscribe). Send a personal data request and we’ll reply within 30 days.
